With virtual reality in the centre of the photovoltaic system - rethinking training
Immersive learning formats for the energy transition: QLEE relies on VR
What does it feel like to stand in the middle of a large-scale photovoltaic system - without a helmet, safety shoes or a long journey? Thanks to state-of-the-art 360° technology and the use of virtual reality (VR), QLEE makes exactly that possible.
As part of the QLEE course "Planning, construction and operation of large PV systems", a real solar system was documented with the help of omnia360 GmbH from Hamburg. Our colleague Henry Tackenberg (IBBF) was on site together with Ingo Klute, an experienced expert for PV systems, to prepare the system for virtual use.
The resulting VR recordings enable participants to immersively familiarise themselves with the challenges and special features of large PV projects - in a practical way and regardless of the weather, even in a snowstorm or constant rain. Ingo Klute provides in-depth knowledge on site selection, technology, approval procedures and operation - complemented by impressive virtual experiences that perfectly combine theory and practice.
🔧 This turns training into an experience - and the energy transition into something tangible.
💡 The courses are free of charge for members of the QLEE qualification network.
