  • The QLEE(Qualification Networkin Lusatiafor Renewable Energies) is a BMWK-funded project that offers companies and employees in the lignite mining region of Lusatia new economic prospects through competent qualification programmes in new technologies. It supports structural change in the region and contributes to the development of skilled labour.

  • The QLEE is supported by three main partners:

LEAG (Lausitz Energie Kraftwerke AG): they have been organising further training courses in Lusatia since 1995 and offer a wide range of courses in the company's own qualification and conference hotel in the idyllic Spreewald.

IBBF (Institute for Vocational Training Research): As research experts in the field of continuing vocational training, they develop qualification programmes and identify the changing needs of the regional economy in times of structural change.

BEE (Bundesverband Erneuerbare Energie e.V.): As an umbrella organisation, BEE pools the technical expertise of over 5,000 companies from Germany in the field of renewable energies.

  • The QLEE offers further training in all aspects of renewable energies, including electricity and heat generation, transmission and storage of energy and much more.

The abbreviation STARK stands for Strengthening the Transformation Dynamics and New Beginnings in the coal-mining regions and at coal-fired power plant sites. The aim of the funding programme is to support structural change in Lusatia and to open up new economic opportunities for companies by providing needs-based and target group-oriented training and further education for their employees.
