On 26 and 27 June 2025, QLEE was part of the Decarbon Days in Boomtown Cottbus, which took place in Hangar 1. The event offered a platform for exchange, innovation and inspiration around the topics of energy transition and decarbonisation.

On the very first day of the event, Martin Heusler presented the QLEE project and introduced the impressive success story of David Kube, a participant from the QLEE network. His personal development is an example of how individual educational paths can contribute to the regional energy transition.

QLEE was represented with its own stand on 27 June. Our VR glasses, which allowed visitors to virtually experience the energy transition in Lusatia, attracted particular interest. The stand was well attended and offered numerous opportunities for dialogue with representatives from local authorities, business and civil society.

Special thanks go to our partner network MinGenTec, which also had a stand at the event. Together, we were able to showcase the region's innovative strength and provide new impetus.

One highlight of the event was the premiere of the Female Energy Award 2025, powered by the enviaM Group. The award recognises the commitment of women in the energy sector and sends a strong signal for more visibility and equal rights. Lucie Töpfer accompanied the award ceremony as patron, jury chair and presenter.

The programme was rounded off by Christian Machens' impressive hydrogen show, which brought science to life in an entertaining way.

We would like to thank everyone involved for two inspiring days full of energy, dialogue and visions for the future of Lusatia!
