Four years of QLEE - and we're just getting started

Since 2022, QLEE has stood for commitment, qualification and cooperation in Lusatia - and has established itself as a real driver of structural change. Together with companies, municipalities and civil society, we are shaping the transition to renewable energies - in a practical, networked way and with a tangible impact.

Four years of QLEE - a picture is worth a thousand words

On 9 September, we celebrated four years full of ideas, enthusiasm for the future and cooperation at our review event. And because words are sometimes not enough, we captured the event in a graphic recording: colourful, lively and full of energy. The images tell of joint successes, inspiring moments and the start of a sustainable future.

What has been achieved

99 training programmes have taken place so far - and 1,675 people have become part of them. This year alone, 768 participants took advantage of the programme between January and September - almost as many as in the two previous years combined.

The proportion of women in the technical training programmes has remained constant at around 32%, well above the national average.

Over 300 local authority representatives have received practical information on the energy transition, and around 60 initiatives and associations have benefited from QLEE programmes to become more involved.

Three future academies lasting several days have introduced more than 100 young adults to the careers and opportunities of the energy transition in Lusatia.

Looking ahead

We have applied for an extension so that QLEE can continue its programmes in the coming years. After all, the demand for further training, good qualifications and reliable knowledge about the transformation is high - and growing.

It is important to consolidate what has been achieved: More involvement of local authorities, more future academies, even more companies and initiatives that are helping to shape change.

Our results show that QLEE is working. Companies benefit from practical qualifications, local authorities receive guidance for the energy transition and young people discover prospects for their future.
